The Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce in cooparation with the Embassy of Sweden to Greece, organised the 5th Business Forum Greece-Sweden, entitled “Digitalisation: the future for Greece”. The Forum took place at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in Athens, on Tuesday 19 March 2019.
The Forum focused on the technological advances, their diffusion and their disruptive impact in the economy and society. The evolution of digitalisation in Greece and the world, including Sweden, and the challenges it poses in the economy, the business and the policy making was addressed. In this context the main issued that was discussed was:
– The benefits and investment opportunities from the deployment of 5G communications.
– The “Digital Skills” gap.
– The readiness of the human capital and the developments in the labour market and the future of work.
– The advent of artificial intelligence and robotics.
Participants to this event were prominent scientists, high profile company executives, academics, politicians and innovators from Greece and Sweden who conveyed fruitful insights. These focused on the technological advances, their impact on the economy, the society and the future that lies ahead for Greece in digitalization. Sweden’s best practices in this area were also presented. This year’s event was an unprecedented success with over 200 attendants.
