Business Mission to Stockholm (October 2-4, 2016)

A Business Mission to Stockholm was organized with great success by the Greek Embassy in Sweden, in collaboration with the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce as part of the official visit in Sweden, of the Deputy Foreign Minister responsible for International Economic Relations, Mr. Dimitris Mardas. The main objective of the visit was to promote trade and economic relations between the two countries.

The Business Forum, was held on October 3, greeted by the Greek Ambassador to Sweden, Mr. Dimitrios Touloumpas, speeches were addressed by the Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Dimitris Mardas, by the Swedish Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Oscar Stenström, by Dr. Andreas Hatzigeorgiou, Chief Economist of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce, Mr. John D. Saracakis, Chairman of the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Theresa Ryberg, Head of Enterprise Europe Network, Företagarna Stockholm and Mr. Jan Björnum, President of the Trade Partner Sweden. The event was honored by the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan of Sweden and all of Scandinavia Mr. Kleopas.

The Chairman of the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce Mr. John D. Saracakis in his speech among others referred to the initiatives taken by the Chamber for the development of bilateral economic relations, pointing out the preconditions for further strengthening these relations while he particularly stressed out the need to improve the business climate in Greece with the aim of attracting investment.

 

More than 150 B2B meetings followed between 29 Greek businessmen who traveled to Stockholm and Swedish companies from the industries of Food and Beverage, Cosmetics, Health Tourism, Real Estate Development and Leading Edge Technologies.
