The Embassy of Sweden in Athens has during the past couple of years had the opportunity to collaborate with the THE BEE CAMP NGO on sustainability related projects.
One very funny, inspiring, and important such was also the “Hotel Sweden” bee spot built on the rooftop of the Embassy building.
Bee Spots are an innovation on pollinator conservation. It is a safe heaven for solitary bees and other pollinators living in the urban environment.
It is an installation that consists of:
– bee food : plants rich in pollen and nectar
– bee habitat : bee hotel that is used as a nest for many species of solitary bees and other pollinators!
