On February 13th, we had the pleasure of gathering at the Swedish Residence for our Annual Pita Cutting 2025 and to officially welcome H.E. Mr. Håkan Emsgård, the newly appointed Ambassador of Sweden to Greece.
Mrs. Rania Patsiopoulos, the President of the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, welcomed guests with an inspiring speech, reflecting on the Chamber’s achievements in 2024:
“It has been a year filled with opportunities, learning and strong collaborations—each event and initiative bringing us closer as a business community and strengthening the ties between Greece and Sweden. From insightful discussions at our 9th Business Forum Greece-Sweden, to business breakfasts with Ministers, exclusive workshops and networking events like the “Summer Get-Together”, we have continued to equip our members with knowledge and valuable connections.”
She also emphasized the importance of the upcoming Board of Directors and Auditors Committee elections, encouraging members to step forward and play an active role in shaping the future of the Chamber.
In his first official event in Greece, Ambassador Emsgård shared his vision for deeper collaboration between Sweden, Greece and the EU. He highlighted the significance of the defense industry within NATO, the strength of the Greek economy beyond shipping and tourism and the power of small nations playing leading roles on the global stage.
