 2nd Business Forum Greece-Sweden

“Reinventing the Economy: Successful Practices from Sweden”.

The Hellenic-Swedish Chamber of Commerce  held  with great success on Thursday and Friday December 3-4, 2015 the 2nd Business Forum Greece-Sweden which was titled “Reinventing the Economy: Successful Practices from Sweden”.

The opening of the Forum took place at King George Hotel, on Thursday 3 December, with the Official Dinner, with Guest of Honor and Keynote Speaker the former Minister for Fiscal & Financial Affairs of Sweden, Mr. Bo Lundgren. The Forum continued at Grande Bretagne Hotel, on Friday 4 December, where the Chairman of the Chamber Mr. John D. Saracakis and the Ambassador of Sweden to Greece Mrs. Charlotte Wrangberg made the welcome remarks.
Opening speech was given by the former Minister for Fiscal & Financial Affairs of Sweden, Mr. Bo Lundgren and Keynote Speaker was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Dimitris Mardas.
At the forum participated also as speakers, Mr. Christos Staikos, Chairman of Enterprise Greece, Mr. Ivan Vassallo from Elekta company in Malta, Mr. Michael Massourakis, Chief Economist of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises, Mr. Vassilis Antoniades, Partner & Managing Director Athens of The Boston Consulting Group, Mr. Ole Settergren, Director of R&D, Swedish Pensions Agency, Mr. George Kremlis, Head of Unit of the Directorate-General for the Environment of the European Commission, and Ms. Maria Boura, Head of Strategy, Marketing & Communications of the South East Europe Hub Ericsson Region Mediterranean.
The Agenda of the 2nd Business Forum Greece-Sweden referred mainly to the improvement of the business environment required for the development of innovation and entrepreneurship in Greece and included topics on the Reforms and Investment Revival, Creating the right business environment for innovation and entrepreneurship, Attracting foreign investments, The Maltese model of economic developments, Enacted Reforms and the existing gap, Investment revival and the role of the private sector, Sustainable pension system and Circular economy and innovation.
